Ventura Float Center
I am the guy you have all known, heard about, and met many times before. It was after almost twenty years of fruitless and unfulfiling duty as an employee i.d.# for a major electrical utility corporation here in so-cal that my life changed as I received my “reduction in forces” nudge out the back door…BEST DAY OF MY WORKING LIFE! I felt that these walking papers were more like a pair of wings with no set GPS or direction…only a chance to live life with no cubicle or ceiling to dictate my natural hours and income potential. It was at this moment I knew in my heart and truest intuition that the wind would take me to where I was needed, and needed to be.
After release from my corporate term I was free to attend The Kali Institute of Massage and Somatic Therapies where my world seemed to open new doors. The first and most important door to open was the one that taught me more about my own body through the study of anatomy and Somatics. Even though I have been certified in a 250 hour program, I never had any intention of performing this art and technique as a way to make a living, I only wanted to enrich myself with this knowledge to share with family and close friends.
Since this door had opened and I knew that I wouldn’t be performing massage on a regular basis, I needed to enter another open door. Where was this door and how would I see or find it?
Enter “Sensory Deprivation Floatation Tank” (“float tank”). Literally. I had been hearing about this form of therapy/meditation/experience for quite some time by word of mouth as well (most people) Joe Rogan videos on YouTube.
This is my “door”! And yes, after you become comfortable and more well versed in “floating”, doors to your true self and true mind, without any distractions will open. This is why Floatation therapy is described as a method or vehicle assisting you to float away into a state of meditation. For those of us who are interested in “re”-reaching, connecting to, and clearing our pineal gland/third eye, or relieving yourself of physical or mental ailments (stress), floating at The Ventura Floatation Therapy Center will give you unlimited access to achieving this on a regular basis, going deeper and deeper upon every float.
You can literally watch a million videos, read a thousand books or talk to hundreds of people about the experiences that floating can offer yet as we as humans are as different as our DNA and fingerprints, you will never know your own unique understanding of floating and meditation until you have “taken the ultimate plunge” into yourself.
One Love, Scott
