Melinda Recchi, leads our Childrens Sunday Program, offering gentle guidance toward Mindfulness to chidren of all ages, Sunday mornings during our Adult Circle/Meditation at 11:00 AM.
Mindfulness is the practice of maintaining conscious awareness of our thoughts, feelings, bodily sensations, and surrounding environment. The earlier children learn to access this consciousness, the healthier and more vibrant they become. Acceptance of their experiences in each moment strengthens their self esteem. When they practice mindfulness, they are learning to pay attention to their thoughts and feelings free of judgment.
This is a loosely structured meeting meant to flow with the energy and needs of the children making up each unique group.
